After all the preliminary excitement, the 2016 Kite Festival yesterday on the Rosebud foreshore
was not blessed with winds or sunshine...
Heavy kites were ground locked, and, generally,
only the light small kites
managed to fly...
This one above was only one of two larger kites that managed to fly for a little while...
Fortunately, there were many attractive stands and entertainment
and there was always the beach...
(Maybe it all improved late in the afternoon
when there was a glimpse of sun and a little wind - after I left...)
